Abstract
Synthetic vascular grafts are increasingly used for replacement of medium and large arteries. This entry is focused on the goals of these models, including testing new synthetic or biological materials, studying blood or tissue compatibility, assess rejection and healing processes, and evaluating genetically modified xenografts.
