Abstract

This entry presents a survey of the relevant neuroanatomy at the submicron scale of distances, describes how positive pressure infusion makes use of the nanoscale interstices of the CNS to deliver therapeutic agents to the CNS parenchyma and invading tumor cells, and discusses how tools of modern nanotechnology are being put into use to develop improved understanding of the dispersal of primitive neural cell types and the processes extended by them.
