ABSTRACT

The healthcare industry is in the unique position of holding a wealth of personal information, bound by strict privacy requirements. One way to better manage the complex nature of this industry is through the incorporation of information technologies. More and more, informatics can and does provide value in a multitude of different care settings and in a number of different operational processes. Organizations invariably will derive significant benefits from having a mechanism to generate an accurate read of data on all fronts and being able to turn that data into actionable information.
