ABSTRACT
There are so many complex problems that can be better evaluated with the rise of big data and sophisticated analytics in a distributed, in-memory environment to make better decisions within tight time frames. The underlying optimization methods can now solve problems in parallel through co-location of the data in memory. The data mining algorithms are vastly still the same; they are just able to handle more data and are much faster.
