Abstract

Storytelling is an increasingly ubiquitous term applied in various fields with markedly different meanings. This article addresses the meanings of the term, the kinds of stories and storytelling, a brief overview of the history of storytelling, some advice for practicing storytellers, and a discussion of the myriad contexts in which storytelling occurs today.
