Abstract

Hundreds of different species of insects feed on flowers and fruits. The impact of such insects can be detrimental, beneficial, or mutualistic. Mutualistic interactions between flowers and honey bees, for example, facilitate pollination in flowers and provide pollen and nectar for developing bees in hives.
