Abstract

Operational Profile Testing refers to those software reliability approaches, methods, techniques, and theories relying on an operational profile (OP) to represent the system's operational conditions as well as on software testing as the basic technique to obtain the experimental data necessary for the estimation of software reliability. In this entry we discuss a taxonomy articulated around three different dimensions: OP features, testing domains, and research directions.
