Abstract

Software testing remains an essential part of contemporary software development. This entry surveys the traditional topics of software testing. Both specification-based and source-code-based testing are discussed, as are three levels of testing (unit, integration, and system). The entry concludes with a discussion of testing in agile software development projects.
