Abstract

This chapter presents an integrated model to evaluate the user experience (UX), based in the user emotional reactions and behavioral decisions, using virtual reality and biosensors technologies. This model was developed due to the common difficulties to evaluate UX with traditional methodologies that use subjective measures that can be easily affected by several factors. Our proposal involves virtual environments, which allow the development of an ecological interaction context, with a high level of control and the possibility to have objective data acquired by biosensors, to measure the users’ emotional reactions. This model can be an important reference for professionals and researchers that are involved in user experience studies to evaluate products, services or systems, and need to have a strong and reliable way to avoid errors due to subjective data and/or low control of the interaction context.
