A relatively large number of studies have been published in connection with designing and evaluation of anthropometric convenience of the driver’s seat of passenger cars. However, in the scientific literature, it is very hard to find an article that deals with the evaluation of the usability of the rear seat of wagon cars. This usability research aims to examine the extent to which existing design solutions of wagons really provide sufficient space for passengers on the rear seat. In accordance with the goal of the research, this study included the majority of vehicle brands and the majority of types of wagons that are produced by different companies for the US market. The results of this usability study show that almost all models of wagons have enough space on the back seat in the area of the hips. Taking into account the shoulders area, there is no model of a wagon that can accommodate comfortably three males of the 50th percentile. In order to be in the ability to plan the usability of the cabin space in the area of the back seat of wagons, the diagrams intended for the comfortable accommodation of passengers have been formed and presented.
