Abstract

This chapter provides an overview of how convolutional neural networks can be combined with blockchain technology to enable handwritten digit recognition. It explains the terms related to and the architecture of a convolutional neural network, before going on to consider its implementation using Python. The chapter introduces the reader to the mechanism of the propagation of an image through various filters and how patterns are recognized from the image. The chapter concludes with a literature review and a brief overview of blockchain technology and the real-life application of blockchain technology and convolutional neural networks.
