Abstract

The impact that magnets have on the lives of mankind is more than most of us ever realize. More specifically, electromagnets have revolutionized the world since the mid 19th century, although, more recently, advances in permanent magnets have been remarkable and the energy products of modern materials have risen exponentially. However, here we are concerned with electromagnets and specifically with superconducting electromagnets.
