ABSTRACT
The most common method for heavy metal removal from wastewater is chemical precipitation. As shown in Figure 33.1, the basic treatment process for precipitating heavy metals includes pretreatment, pH adjustment, flocculation/clarification, sludge thickening, sludge dewatering, and effluent polishing [1].
