This chapter discusses how quantile regression models can be extended so as to handle time-to-event data which are characterized by censoring. Censored quantile regression offers a valuable supplement to the Cox proportional hazards model for survival analysis, which has been an important topic in health sciences, industrial life testing and econometrical analysis. The chapter first presents basic concepts and models that are commonly adopted in survival analysis. It also summarizes recent developments in quantile regression for censored data and their relation to some existing survival models.
