ABSTRACT
Humanity has passed the stage of development when biomass is burnt for energy. Let us recall what had happened to the forests of Germany and England in the Middle Ages and projections, so that awaits us if instead of wheat and other food crops planted only oil plants that can be converted into bio-diesel. Furthermore, the amount of greenhouse gas emissions will not be reduced if you use the old technology, but on the contrary, used bio-fuel (ethanol, methanol, or biodiesel mixed products) burned in internal combustion engines is not a panacea to the problem because it will create the same volume of greenhouse gases and oil derivatives, but will give the relative energy independence that not have their own oil reserves, inclusive of the EU countries.
