An Overview of the Indian Perspective on Palliative Care with Particular Reference to Nutrition and Diet

Palliative care is an area of emerging interest in India. Although, the current healthcare scenario is predominantly tilted towards providing curative care, there are a few small groups that appear to be working intensely towards providing palliative services tailored to the local requirements and resources. The Indian approach of community-based palliative care has the potential of becoming a template for palliative services in the developing world.
