ABSTRACT
In this chapter, results are compiled from authors, who studied “electrical” phenomena in biology from Galvani onwards. This field developed in several phases (see Section 3.1.1) and now is growing very strong in the last decade. This is because now it is possible to link this topic of bioelectricity to modern developmental biology, to molecular and cell biology and even to bioinformatics.
