ABSTRACT
The types and intensities of electric and magnetic fields in the DC and low frequency (about 0-3000 Hz) regions that are experienced by humans in various settings are discussed. Natural fields due to the earth and to atmospheric phenomena are included. The discussion includes fields from the AC power distribution system, building wiring, household appliances, transportation systems, and various occupational settings. Fields induced inside the body by the presence of both external sources and the natural sources within body itself are also presented.
