ABSTRACT
Being responsible for a structure out in the field, one realizes that there are no museum display cards outlining that this damage is due to AAR and that damage is not. Deterioration and possible loss of serviceability could be the result of different deleterious mechanisms, often acting simultaneously or consecutively, increasing the damage observed. This requires careful diagnosis and appraisal with an open mind for every mechanism that may have contributed to the observed phenomena.
