ABSTRACT
Recent progress in audio, video, and data storage technologies has given rise to a host of high-bandwidth real-time applications such as video conferencing. These applications require Quality of Service (QoS) guarantees from the underlying networks. Thus, multicast routing algorithms that manage network resources efficiently and satisfy the QoS requirements have come under increased scrutiny in recent years [1]. The focus on multimedia data transfer capability in networks is expected to further increase as video conferencing applications gain popularity.
