ABSTRACT
The use of two or more standard reference solutions may disclose small inconsistencies in the standardization of the pH meter, depending on which standards are chosen. When this is the case, the best results are often obtained by assuming linearity between E and pH between the two calibrating points bracketing the pH of the unknown.
