ABSTRACT

Analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) are critical to instrumentation and data acquisition systems, providing the interface and transformation of analog information (e.g., sensor signals) to a digital format for computation and storage. Multi-channel ADCs are used in space avionic systems to capture information simultaneously from multiple sensor interfaces and process it concurrently. For many of these applications, payload weight and size must be minimized, making low power consumption of all electronic systems paramount. These systems generally do not require a high sample rate as monitored sensors typically have low bandwidth requirements.
