ABSTRACT
This appendix is offered as a top level introduction to ionizing radiation test facilities typically used in the pursuit of vulnerability assessments and evaluation of mitigation strategies to enable the performance of electronics designed to operate in extreme environments. It is not intended to be a comprehensive compilation of all radiation test facilities, and is intentionally restricted to facilities available within North America since this reflects the test facilities most frequented by researchers whose work have been reported in the preceding chapters. Furthermore, please note that there are many excellent test facilities you may not find listed here since their use is largely restricted to a subset of the user community serving either dedicated cooperate needs or military and other non-NASA government agency needs.
