Abstract

Ever wonder how you are able to put a little plastic box on the dashboard of your car and have it pay your highway tolls for you? Or how about what sets off the alarms at stores when people try to steal merchandise? Or how from a distance you are able to unlock your car by pressing a tiny button? Figure 9.1 shows a type of radio frequency identification device (RFID) tag that makes all of these things and more possible.
