Abstract

Methods for obtaining graphene and its composites by pyrolysis and related techniques from different precursors are reviewed in this chapter. The application of these techniques has led to the preparation of graphene layers with different properties, their nanofoams and nanofilms, N- and metal-doped graphene, and various composites possessing useful catalytic and other properties. Special studies and mechanisms of graphene formation are briefly discussed.
