ABSTRACT

The theory of networks of coupled cells has made a major breakthrough in the last few years, mainly due to the work of Golubitsky, Stewart, and coauthors [3–5]. These networks appear in many areas of science, such as biology, economy, ecology, neuroscience, computation, and physics [1,6,11,14]. Particular attention has been given to patterns of synchrony [9], phase-locking modes, resonance, and quasiperiodicity [1,10].
