ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we provide methods to investigate trends in reliability. Analysis of trends is important since in a growing number of cases, debugging and fault correction are done in a test period or a qualification period. In all these cases, the questions what will be the result of these improvement actions and which level of reliability will be reached arise. This process is called reliability growth. This is the subject of the present chapter. We briefly present the methods to be applied and the models that are useful. This is supported by examples.
