Abstract

Cybercrime is crime committed using computing and communication systems such as computers and networks. When cybercrime occurs, computer systems are either the direct target of the crime or the technological means that enabled it. Many reports have been commissioned to estimate the size of the cybersecurity market and the cost of cybercrime. Hemanshu “Hemu” Nigam, an expert in online safety and privacy, estimated 1 that the market will reach 170 billion USD by 2020.
