ABSTRACT

Astrobiology explores our origins like no other part of NASA does, and the potential future discovery of extraterrestrial life will mark a major revolution in all of science, much like the Copernican revolution of the sixteenth century, in which we learned that we are not at the center of the universe. In this sense, astrobiology may be the most important and impactful investment that NASA has made. It is imperative that we mobilize astrobiology content across cultures and contemplative traditions toward making meaning of the search for and discovery of life elsewhere in the universe and furthering authentic dialogue around our origins.
