Abstract

Anita M. Halvorssen received her law degree from the University of Oslo, Norway and an LLM and doctorate in the science of law (JSD) from Columbia University, New York. She is the Director of Global Legal Solutions, an international think tank and consultancy, focusing on developing countries and sustainable development. She also teaches Sustainable Development and Trade and Global Climate Change Law and Policy at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. Dr Halvorssen has also taught international law and international environmental law at the University of Colorado. She is a member of the Committee on Legal Principles Relating to Climate Change of the International Law Association (ILA).
