Elizabeth Burleson is a Professor at Pace Law School, has an LLM in International Law from the London School of Economics (LSE), a JD from the University of Connecticut, and is a Fulbright Senior Specialist whose research addresses emerging International Environmental and Human Rights Law. She began participating in the treaty negotiation process at the United Nations in 1991 during proceedings for the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development and helped draft the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Agenda 21 and the Rio Declaration. She has written reports for the United Nations and delivered presentations at United Nations conferences.
