ABSTRACT

In this chapter we describe Comprehensive, Integrated, Three-Tiered (Ci3T) models of prevention, a collaborative framework for educators to address students’ academic, behavioral, and social skill needs in an integrated fashion using a data-informed process for instruction. We focus on the role of behavior screening data and how these data can be used to inform (a) primary prevention (Tier 1) efforts; (b) low-intensity, teacher-delivered supports; and (c) secondary (Tier 2) and tertiary (Tier 3) supports for students.
