ABSTRACT

The Israeli financial market is currently in the preliminary stages of adopting responsible investment (RI). Israel’s cleantech investment sector is well developed, and, mainly due to recent regulation, corporate governance issues are being implemented. However, environmental and social issues have not been widely adopted. While the unique structure of the Israeli financial market might constitute an obstacle to RI, recent changes in regulation and public awareness might be a good incentive for the growth of an Israeli RI sector.
