ABSTRACT
Generally speaking, Austria is considered to be a secular state. However, this statement might be reassessed, considering the widespread integration of religion not only in politics but in daily life. This complex integration can be seen in the educational system, but it applies earlier than this: even kindergartens provide religious instruction.
