ABSTRACT
We talk about HRD and we work with it day in and day out – but what do we mean by it? As with many things that we are close to, it is hard to encapsulate. In this chapter I want to step back a bit and take a look at the shape of HRD – to review the field, to contextualize it, locate it and provide a very brief overview.
