ABSTRACT
Philippine political theatre formed solidarity by renewing the idea of community through dissents against forces of oppression since the 1896 revolution. In the transformation, the stage becomes an assembly where audiences are invited to rehearse social responsibility that recognises the other not as an object of one’s enjoyment and possession.
