ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with the relation between fear and politics, with how, within our current cultural context, political messages increasingly take shape as ‘narrations of risk’. Taking the installation Phobiarama of Dries Verhoeven as its case, it explores what happens when social fears materialise and become embodied within a theatrical context.
