ABSTRACT
This chapter examines two recent productions inspired by the UpStairs Lounge fire of 1973. By repositioning nostalgia as a queer tactic that politicises history through performance, it demonstrates how these theatrical performances serve as a catalyst for intergenerational and intersectional queer becoming, extending into the audience as community.
