ABSTRACT

Despite this progress, much work remains to be done to help students with disabilities not only to access, but more importantly, to be prepared for the various demands of postsecondary education. Research has long highlighted that students with disabilities (and many students without disabilities) are underprepared for the academic demands of postsecondary education. Effective transition planning is vitally important to enable students with disabilities to participate in the most academically rigorous curriculum possible.
