ABSTRACT

The relations between the US and Bahrain are multifaceted, increasingly dense, and strong. Indeed, despite the geographic distance between the countries, enormous differences in geographic and population sizes, important differences in language and religion, and substantial differences in governance systems between the two countries, Bahrain and the US are in several important respects much more closely allied than most other countries in the world, including those that are much closer in terms of geography, religion, language, size, and political systems.
