ABSTRACT
The events and descriptions in this chapter highlight the connection between sex and pleasure. They emphasise vividly how erotic sexual encounters can cross boundaries of class, race, gender, sexual orientation and generation. Each of the scenes described was extracted from field research that we have been conducting over the last few years. The names of the places mentioned are real, but the anonymity of the individuals involved has been preserved.
