Abstract

We emphasize that, in this chapter and as the heading implies, both the obtaining and the reactions take place 'after the experience'. For that reason they must inevitably include a measure of opinion tempered by mellowing, or the effects of frequent replay, rather than an exclusive concentration on hard facts - and so they should be interpreted and used accordingly.
