ABSTRACT

For a long time B30 has been one of the least studied and documented language groups of Gabon. Although Guthrie (1953 and 1967-71) provided scholars with a first approximation of its main characteristics, his account was necessarily incomplete. As a matter of fact his research was based on rather limited personal field notes and on data taken from Raponda-Walker (RW) (1950) concerning only two out of seven languages (see below).
