This chapter reviews both the Bahá’í Faith’s scriptural imperative for Bahá’ís to consort amicably with peoples of other religions and Bahá’í institutional statements related to interfaith relations. It offers an historical account of the Bahá’í community’s relations with other religions from the late nineteenth century to the year 2020 with respect to their participation in formal and informal spaces for interfaith dialogue and multi-faith collaboration at local, national, and international levels. Examples of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s actions and relevant public discourses are also briefly analysed.
