ABSTRACT

The two-corridor and one-ring plan (hereinafter referred to as “this plan”) was proposed by Vietnam to promote an economic cooperation between China and Vietnam. In 2004, a consensus was reached on this plan by both countries. Subsequently, this plan made relevant achievements in the various field of cooperation (e.g. border trade facilitation, agriculture and medicine). Since the Belt and Road Initiative was proposed in 2015, both countries had cooperated in the alignment of both initiatives and had made preliminary achievements in various fields (e.g. policy coordination, unimpeded trade and infrastructure connectivity).
