ABSTRACT
The inauguration of the first and second sections of the Pakistani E35 Expressway, which was contracted by China Gezhouba Group Corporation (CGGC), was held on December 27, 2017 in Hazara, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in north-western Pakistan. Completed in April 2018, the E35 links the country’s north–south traffic artery of Peshawar–Karachi Expressway with the northern Kala Kunlun Highway, which will greatly upgrade transportation and connectivity between the China–Pakistan border area and inland Pakistan and will drastically shorten the time needed for travel by land from Pakistan to China when it is completed.
