ABSTRACT

The China–Central Asia–West Asia Economic Corridor extends westward from northwestern China via Central Asia to the Persian Gulf, the Arabian Peninsula and the Mediterranean coast, involving relevant countries in Central Asia, West Asia and North Africa. As the backbone of the ancient Silk Road, the 5 Central Asian countries once occupied an important position on the road. Today, China and the 5 Central Asian countries are still linked by the same mountains and rivers.
