Amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness

In October 2013, the neighbourhood diplomacy work conference was held in Beijing. At the meeting, President Xi Jinping emphasised that China is committed to pursuing partnership with its neighbours and neighbourhood diplomacy of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness and fostering a harmonious, secure and prosperous neighbourhood. ¹ Since then, amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness have become an important concept of peripheral diplomacy in the new era.
