ABSTRACT

China has greatly contributed to the implementation of Millennium Development Goals of the United Nations. During the period of 2000–2015, the Chinese economy grew annually by 8% on average to eradicate the poverty of nearly 700 million Chinese people. China also actively participates in the South–South Cooperation and assists more than 120 developing countries in implementing the Millennium Development Goals. Because a huge need is caused by the growth of the Chinese economy, the Chinese trade connection is improved with regions such as Africa and Latin America, which plays an important impetus in the growth and poverty alleviation in these regions. Therefore, it can be said that Chinese achievement and experience are an important guarantee to overall realise the Millennium Development Goals of the United Nations.
