Abstract

This chapter is based on the author’s series of work for more than a decade and half on integrating Indian wisdom into leadership and management. The Indian wisdom is rooted in Indian philosophy that focuses on discipline and asceticism to understand intrinsic growth needs. The chapter addresses Natural Human Needs (that are unlearned, intrinsic, expressive, and non-deficiency based) as a driver of happiness. Happiness in the present conceptualization is a cheerful state of mind where one gets established in one’s inner self. This is the experience of bliss where mind resides in soul.
